About me

GREG EMMERSON – MASTERCHEF 2018 SEMI FINALIST

Hello, and thank you for stopping by my website.

I am based in Berkshire, but am originally from London. My love of food and cooking started when I was young, my mother was a fantastic cook and without realising it at the time,  I picked up a lot of knowledge just from being around her in the kitchen in my younger years.

As I grew older my understanding of cooking and food increased, and of course, being to travel meant I could experience cuisines I’d only ever read about in books in my early years. One of my favourite places I’ve been lucky enough to visit was Japan, it changed the way I think about food, be it presentation or ingredients, it was a sort of food epiphany, I can’t wait to go back and explore the country again.

My family heritage is French and Ukrainian, the French is my mother’s side so you could say cooking is rooted in my DNA!

You may have seen me on the BBC Show MasterChef back in 2018 where I made it to the semi-finals.

The key thing I took away from my MasterChef experience was learning to cook under pressure. and the confidence knowing I could produce interesting dishes that people enjoyed eating.

Since then, I have been providing dining experiences to private and corporate clients across the UK and Europe. I’d describe my food style as contemporary modern cuisine with influences from across the globe.
